rev. jon talley, SENIOR PASTOR
Jon is the senior pastor at Christ Church Milwaukee. Born and raised in Athens, GA, Jon is a graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), but has also lived in Philadelphia and Virginia. Before moving to Milwaukee to help start Christ Church Milwaukee in 2014, he worked with Reformed University Fellowship at Washington & Lee University for 7 years. Jon enjoys all things Milwaukee, and in particular, its food and drink scene. Jon is married to Carrie, and they have 3 teenage children.
Sam Shaner, Church Administrator
Originally from Virginia, she and her husband, Pete, lived in Clemson, South Carolina for 4 years before moving to Milwaukee in 2024 for Pete’s job with RUF. Sam and Pete have a one year old daughter named Harper and a dog named Minnie. Sam enjoys anything outdoors, experiencing new coffee shops, and exploring MKE with her family!
olivia frise, Director of music
Olivia is the director of music at Christ Church Milwaukee. A California native, she and her husband Matt spent the first decade of married life moving about the country in hot pursuit of his career as an academic philosopher. Life took them to upstate NY, St. Louis, Texas, and back to sunny California before Matt accepted a position as a philosophy professor at MSOE in 2022. Olivia and Matt enjoy making music, playing board games, reading, creating home, and building community with their two brave, wild boys.
